Brrrr its cold out there! Today it happened, the first day of the year where I started my car from my living room and put a sweater on my dog before heading out for our morning walk. Gone are the mornings of iced coffees and driving to work with the windows down and here are the hot chai lattes and morning frosts.
I for one love the change of seasons, brisk air, flannel pajamas and hot cocoa by the fire. As much as I love cozy nights and snowball fights I know that with winter weather comes winter prep. Winter can bring a lot of damage to your home and your wallet if you’re not careful. Breaking out my automatic car-starter this morning was as instant reminder that I need to winterize my car, program my thermostat and call someone to come out and inspect our fireplace. Prepping your house for winter weather is just as important as flannel sheets and warm layers.
